01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the charming heart of Toledo at Pl. de la Magdalena, 11, Ginos invites food lovers to savor authentic Southern Italian cuisine crafted with care and passion. This inviting Italian family restaurant masterfully balances a cozy, welcoming atmosphere with the convenience of a takeout and pizza delivery spot, making it a versatile choice whether you’re dining in or on the go.

Ginos' menu shines with classic Italian staples, highlighting fan favorites such as the sumptuous Ibérica and the creamy, rich 5 Formaggio pizzas. As customers have joyfully shared, these pizzas, baked to golden perfection with generous toppings, deliver a delightful burst of flavors that tease the palate. The dough strikes the right balance—slightly bigger than a personal pizza, yet manageable and satisfying. Complementing the meal, their sangria consistently draws praise for its vibrant, slightly bubbly fruitiness, a refreshing sip that captures the essence of Spain while pairing beautifully with Italian dishes.

Inside, the space is attractively maintained and spacious enough to comfortably host groups or intimate family gatherings. Though some reviews mention moments of slower service, the attentive and friendly staff often make up for it, ensuring each guest feels welcome. The fresh, warm bread served alongside entrees like lobster ravioli and calzones adds an extra touch of home-style comfort, enhancing the overall dining experience.

While the ambiance sometimes surprises with unexpected touches—such as the upbeat reggaeton tunes in an Italian setting—the mood remains lively and casual, ideal for relaxed meals and casual outings. Affordable pricing harmonizes with quality, making Ginos a welcomed stop for both locals and travelers discovering Toledo.

Whether you’re popping in for a quick slice, picking up a family feast, or unwinding with friends over a glass of their well-crafted sangria, Ginos consistently delivers an honest and hearty taste of southern Italy wrapped in Spanish charm. For anyone eager to enjoy flavorful Italian favorites in the beautiful surroundings of Toledo, this local gem is well worth a visit.

Purchased an Ibérica and a 5 Formaggio to go. They were ready in about 15 min. They were tasty! Although not cut. They are small, a bit bigger than a personal pizza Had a sangria while I waited, it was really, really good! Slightly bubbly and fruity

We were a group of four, and the space could easily accommodate many more people. The dishes were quite good, though the service was a bit slow despite the restaurant being empty. The interior was attractive and well-maintained. The food itself was delicious, but I can’t say the same for the sangria — it had an odd taste that I didn’t enjoy, though it was still passable overall.

This was my very first experience at a Ginos and let's just say it didn't live up to my expectations. While the service in that particular locale was wonderful, attentive and very helpful, the atmosphere itself was... Lacking. Reggaeton music in an Italian restaurant? I feel like they could do better than that. As for the food itself, you clearly get what you pay for and I'm a big fan of that. I got the chicken with the Bolognese sauce and it was very tasty, although I'd have been happier with more potatoes lol. What I can warn you about is their "homemade focaccia bread" which has absolutely nothing to do with focaccia and was the only regret we had that night, food wise. Save your money. I also strongly recommend a tinto de verano as I got a very good portion for just 2,40€!

Everything was amazing. The staff was quick and helpful. The food was ready on time and its taste was great! The prices were fair enough for the place the country you're on and the quality of taste of the final result. I recommend it to you. I'll visit it again when I visit Toledo! Thanks!!
